The Sami

Sami

I like the idea about the Sami, that I had earlier, since I myself is part Sami, and I don’t think there are many 3D characters of Sami. This will make the character more unique and will give me only primary material to do research on. I also know a lot about the Sami myself that I can mix into my research and make useful.

The Sami have a unique culture and a lot of interesting myths, artwork, literature and tools.





A lot of things have happened to the Sami through history that is worth taking a look at. Just a year back, a great movie about the Sami rebellion against the Norwegian government in Kautokeino around 1850, was released (“Kautokeino Opprøret”). Just this one movie contains a lot of information about the Sami history of discrimination, oppression and harassment ( I can use this)
